Unlock the secrets of The Dolls' House of Petronella Oortman

We recently had the pleasure of working with the Rijksmuseum on Thuis in de 17e eeuw (At Home in the 17th Century). What a project! For this exhibition we created three audio components: an audio tour, a podcast episode and an online experience built around the digitised dollhouse of Petronella Oortman. Each format needed its own approach. Whether guiding visitors with audio through the nine “dioramas”, offering a behind‑the‑scenes look in the podcast, or creating a calm digital tour of the dollhouse. Our audio team in Amsterdam and Utrecht worked on narration, music and subtle sound layers together with the museum’s curators and editors. It was cool and inspiring to work with the beautiful voices of Bracha van Doesburgh, Daan Schuurmans, Janine Abbring, Monic Hendrickx and Helena Bonham Carter. Thanks to everyone at the Rijksmuseum, Q42 and Fabrique!
