Audio experience for SAMoCA in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia
It's live! New audio work for SAMoCA in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. We've created an audio experience for "The Writings of Today Are a Promise for Tomorrow", an exhibition showcasing over 30 Chinese contemporary artists.
There are so many parallels between Chinese and Arab cultures. That's something I didn't know before, and I love it when I'm learning new stuff. The exhibition explores shared elements of Chinese and Arab cultures, focusing on calligraphy and garden traditions.
Team Big Orange created specially composed original music, spatial 3D sound design, and narratives in both Arabic and English. We've also developed a low-stimulus version to make the experience accessible to all visitors.
If you're in the area before 18 January 2025, I'd encourage you to visit. It's a unique opportunity to experience contemporary Chinese art in a Saudi Arabian context.
