Music for the docuseries Staken op leven en dood

Staken op leven en dood (Striking for life and death) is a three-part docuseries about the 'forgotten' April-May strike of 1943, the largest strike ever in the Netherlands. The documentary takes you to the uproar and the brutal reprisals of the Germans, to the consequences that echo through generations, and to the courage and vulnerability of the strikers who willingly put their lives at risk.

I had great fun writing the music for it together with Eddy Koopman of the Metropole Orkest.

From Monday 24 April, 22:15 on NPO2 at BNNVARA.
