From Dusk Till Dawn at the Dordrechts Museum
From Dusk Till Dawn, a new exhibition at the Dordrechts Museum. The opening was on Friday evening, a special moment where everything came together: the artworks, the stories, the light, the voices and the night itself.
FDTD is an exhibition about the night in the 17th century, a time when it was still truly dark. With over 100 artworks, from hushed moonlit landscapes and cheerful night owls to witches' sabbaths, fires and misfortune. And an impressive star room that shows how many stars we miss these days.
For this exhibition we created a special audio experience together with the Dordrechts Museum, guest curator Stefan Kuiper and writer Philip Walkate. A podwalk through the night, hour by hour, guided by a 17th-century rattle watchman and his daughter. Past music and parties, sorcery and witches, comets and stars. With the voices of Raymond Thiry, Indira Olf and Carine Crutzen.
From Dusk Till Dawn can be seen until 21 February at the Dordrechts Museum.
Thanks to Aimée Dabekaussen, Carolyn Mensing, Stefan Kuiper, Philip Walkate, Rik Rensen and Jonathan Steetskamp.
